The Riady family itself ranks ninth on Forbes’s Indonesia rich list with a fortune of $2.1bn. In a carefully pressed batik shirt and with his hair combed neatly into a side-parting, the 86-year-old is one of a generation of powerful Chinese-Indonesian entrepreneurs that has led business for decades in Southeast Asia’s largest economy — a posse that includes the founders of the powerful Salim Group and the palm oil-to-paper Sinar Mas conglomerate. Resentment of Indonesia’s ethnic Chinese grew during Dutch colonial rule, when they were given monopolies over various commodities and met the colony’s banking needs through lending syndicates. The late dictator Suharto was seen as giving the community a further leg-up. Having faced riots and pogroms, many ethnic Chinese businessmen — like Mr Riady — keep a low profile and go by their Indonesian names.

Kuncoro Wibowo is the eldest of nine siblings, and had been helping out with the business at the shop from a very young age. As a teenager, he made frequent trips overseas to participate in trade shows and source for products, thus honing his skills in business development. In 1980, Kuncoro Wibowo and five of his siblings set up Kawan Lama Sejahtera, distributing tool, machinery and industrial equipment. • PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, commonly known as Bank Central Asia (BCA) is an Indonesian bank founded on February 21, 1957. In 2016, BCA overtook DBS Bank of Singapore as Southeast Asia's biggest lender by value, with a market capitalisation of US$24.5 billion (S$34.2 billion). The Asian financial crisis in 1997 had a tremendous impact on Indonesia's entire banking system. In particular, it affected BCA's cash flow and even threatened its survival. A bank rush forced BCA to seek assistance from the Indonesian government. The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency took over control of the bank in 1998. Full recovery was accomplished later in the same year. In December 1998, third-party funds were back at the pre-crisis level. BCA's assets stood at Rp 67.93 trillion, as opposed to Rp 53.36 trillion in December 1997. Public confidence in BCA was fully restored, and BCA was released by IBRA to BI in 2001. Subsequently, BCA took a major step by going public. The IPO took place in 2000, selling 22.55% of BCA's shares that were being divested by IBRA. After the IPO, the agency still controlled 70.3% of BCA's total shares. The second public offering took place in June and July 2001, with IBRA divesting an additional 10% of its interest in BCA. In 2002, IBRA divested 51% of its BCA shares through a strategic private placement tender. The Mauritius-based Farindo Investment won the tender. There is a BCA representative office in Singapore. Bank Central Asia began in 1955 as the Trading Company and Industry Semarang Knitting Factory. Around 1980, BCA expanded its branch network aggressively, in association with deregulation of the banking sector in Indonesia. BCA developed many products, services and information technology by applying online system for branch network and launched Tabungan Hari Depan (Tahapan) BCA. In 1990, BCA developed an alternative branch network through ATM (Automated Teller Machine). Around 1991, BCA placed 50 units ATM in various places in Jakarta. The development of the ATM’s networks and features were done intensively. BCA collaborated with a well-known institution, such as PT Telkom for phone bill payment through ATM BCA. BCA also collaborated with CitiBank so that BCA’s customers, who held CityBank’s credit card, can pay their bill through ATM BCA.In 2002, Farindo Investment (Mauritius) Limited took over 51% of BCA’s total shares through a strategic placement tender process. In 2004, BPPN divested 1,4% of BCA shares to domestic investors through limited offer and in 2005, the Government of Indonesia through PT Perusahaan Pengelolaan Aset (PPA) divested all of BCA’s remaining 5.02% shares. In the 2000s BCA strengthened and expanded its products and services, especially electronic banking, by introducing Debit BCA, Tunai BCA, internet banking KlikBCA, mobile banking m-BCA, EDCBIZZ, and others. BCA established the Disaster Recovery Center facility in Singapore. BCA increased its competence in lending, including through expansion into car finance through its subsidiary, BCA Finance. - newspaper
    • Antara is an Indonesian news agency organized as a private company under the Ministry of State-owned Enterprises.[a] It is the country's national news agency, supplying news reports to the many domestic media organization. It is the only organization authorized to distribute news material created by foreign news agencies. The news agency was founded in 1937, when the country was still a colony in the Dutch Empire, by independence activists dissatisfied with the lack of local coverage by the Dutch-owned Aneta news agency. Antara's operation was absorbed into the Dōmei Tsushin news network following invasion by the Japanese in 1942. Its staff played a key role in the broadcast of Indonesia's proclamation of independence and assumed control of the Dōmei facilities in the region at the end of the war. The agency remained under private management until it was placed under the control of the presidency in the 1960s when the government shifted its focus from decolonization to nation-building. Antara became an institution through which the state could promote its policies.Following a wave of political reforms in the late 1990s, Antara began to produce its reporting independently of the government and was reorganized as a state-owned enterprise in 2007. However, media scholars argue that a lengthy relationship with the government makes it difficult for the agency to become an unbiased news organization.

      • Angkasa Pura (Sanskrit for Sky City) is the name used by two separate state enterprises of the Indonesian Department of Transport that are responsible for the management of airports in Indonesia. The two companies are PT Angkasa Pura I and PT Angkasa Pura II. Angkasa Pura I has its head office in Jakarta, while Angkasa Pura II has its head office at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten. In 1962, Perusahaan Negara (PN) Angkasa Pura Kemayoran was established after a formal request by president Sukarno. It first started to control operations for the Kemayoran Airport (JKT) in Jakarta. In 1965, PN Angkasa Pura Kemayoran was renamed PN Angkasa Pura. In 1974, as the company became publicly administrated, PN Angkasa Pura changed from a state-owned company (perusahaan negara (PN)) to a public company (perusahaan umum (Perum)) and the company name was changed to Perum Angkasa Pura. Another name change came in 1987, when Perum Angkasa Pura became Perum Angkasa Pura I following the establishment of Perum Angkasa Pura II.[2][3] Perum Angkasa Pura II was established to control the operation of Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK) and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (HLP) in Jakarta. In 1992, both Perum Angkasa Pura I and Perum Angkasa Pura II were again renamed to Perseroan Terbatas (PT) Angkasa Pura I and PT Angkasa Pura II.[2][3] Since then, these two companies have operated the major airports in Indonesia.

      france education

      Education
      - France central government defrays a very large share of true cost of education of public institutions thereby reducing student's tuition burden (between 181 to 596 euro per student per year) in the universities and certain grandes ecoles

      Educational institutions
      -  L'Institut d'études politiques de Paris (IEP de Paris) Sciences Po (French pronunciation: [sjɑ̃s po]), or Paris Institute of Political Studies (French: Institut d'études politiques de Paris, French pronunciation: [ɛ̃s.ti.ty de.tyd pɔ.li.tik də pa.ʁi]), is a highly selective French university (legally a grande école). It was founded as a private institution by Émile Boutmy in 1872 to promote a new class of French politicians in the aftermath of the French defeat in the Franco-Prussian war of 1871  and grew to become a highly influential academic institution in the social sciences in France. Alumni include many notable public figures, including seven of the last eight French presidents, 12 foreign heads of state or government, heads of international organizations (including the UN, WTO, IMF and ECB), and six of the CAC 40 CEOs. The pervasiveness of the school's graduates in French society has led to claims that Sciences Po, together with other prominent grandes écoles, is perpetuating a technocracy of out-of-touch leaders. The school undertook an ambitious reform agenda starting in the  mid-1990s, which included an emphasis on the internationalization of the school's curriculum and student body, establishing a special admission process for underprivileged applicants, and expanding the school's presence by establishing new campuses outside Paris. Sciences Po currently has campuses in Dijon, Le Havre, Menton, Nancy, Paris, Poitiers, and Reims. The institution is a member of the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs and the Global Public Policy Network.
      - The École nationale d'administration (ENA; French pronunciation: [ekɔl nasjɔnal dadministʁasjɔ̃]; English: National School of Administration) is one of the most prestigious French grandes écoles, created in 1945 by Michel Debré to democratise access to the senior civil service. It is now entrusted with the selection and initial training of senior French officials. It is one of the most elitist French schools, both because of its acceptance rates and because a large majority of its candidates have already graduated from the best graduate schools in the country such as École Normale Supérieure, École Polytechnique or HEC Paris. The ENA thus stands as one of the symbols of the meritocracy, along with the other grandes écoles, offering its alumni access to high positions in the public and private sectors. Originally located in Paris, it has now been almost completely relocated to Strasbourg to emphasise its European character, and is now based in the former Commanderie Saint-Jean, though it continues to maintain a campus in Paris. ENA produces around 80 to 90 graduates every year, known as étudiants-fonctionnaires or "enaos" or "énarques " (IPA: [enaʁk]) for short. In 2002 the Institut international d'administration publique (IIAP) which educated foreign civil servants under a common structure with ENA was fused with it.
      • Macron on Monday night cancelled a speech expected to outline key measures in response to months of anti-governments protests, after the blaze erupted. Macron will address the nation but he is expected to talk mainly about the Notre-Dame fire. However a draft copy of his planned speech was leaked to the press showing some of the changes he intends to make to improve life for French people, particularly in rural areas as well as ease the opposition to his presidency.Widely seen as a breeding ground for the elite, the ENA is the training system for top French civil servants and politicians. Macron's paper says that he is in favour of making the selection process more democratic.
The leaked paper has him as saying he wants to give "all our young people their opportunities based solely on their merit and not on their social or family origin."https://www.thelocal.fr/20190416/what-is-macron-going-to-do-about-frances-biggest-gripes
      - The University of Franche-Comté (UFC) is a pluridisciplinary public French university located in Besançon, Franche-Comté, with decentralized campuses in Belfort, Montbéliard, Vesoul and Lons-le-Saunier. It is a founding member of the community of universities and institutions University of Burgundy - Franche-Comté (COMUE UBFC), headquartered in Besançon and which federates universities and other higher learning institutes in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region.The university was founded in 1423 in Dole, at that time in the Duchy of Burgundy.[1] It was moved to Besançon in 1691 as Dole was being punished for having resisted too long against the king of France Louis XIV during his conquest of the region.

      • A bivouac shelter is any of a variety of improvised camp site, or shelter that is usually of a temporary nature, used especially by soldiers, or persons engaged in backpacking, scouting, or mountain climbing.[1] It may often refer to sleeping in the open with a bivouac sack, but it may also refer to a shelter constructed of natural materials like a structure of branches to form a frame, which is then covered with leaves, ferns, and similar material for waterproofing and duff (leaf litter) for insulation. Modern bivouacs often involve the use of one or two man tents, but may also be without tents or full cover.[2] In modern mountaineering the nature of the bivouac shelter will depend on the level of preparedness; in particular whether existing camping and outdoor gear may be incorporated into the shelter.[3] A bivouac shelter is colloquially known as a bivvy (also spelled bivy or bivvi or bivi).

http://paper.takungpao.com/resfile/PDF/20200716/PDF/b3_screen.pdf
https://orientaldaily.on.cc/cnt/news/20201014/00176_069.html
