Royalty
The Nemanjić (Serbian CyrillicНемањићpl. Nemanjići / Немањићи, pronounced [nɛ̌maɲitɕ]) was the most important dynasty of Serbia in the Middle Ages. The royal house produced eleven Serbian monarchs between 1166 and 1371. Its progenitor was Stefan Nemanja, who descended from a cadet line of the Vukanović dynasty (1101–1166). After Nemanja, all monarchs used Stefan as a personal name, a tradition adopted for the royal pretensions. The monarchs began as Grand Princes, and with the crowning of Stefan Nemanjić in 1217, the realm was promoted to a Kingdom, and the Serbian Church was established. In 1346, Stefan Dušan was crowned Emperor of the Serbs and Greeks, and the Archbishopric of Serbia was elevated to a Patriarchate. In 1371, with the death of child-less Uroš the Weak (r. 1355–1371), the fall of the Serbian Empire was ensured; provincial lords obtained the rule of the past provinces, and the Nemanjić survived only through maternal lines in several Serbian houses.
The Karađorđević (Serbian CyrillicКарађорђевићpl. Karađorđevići / Карађорђевићи, pronounced [karad͡ʑǒːrd͡ʑeʋit͡ɕ]) is a Serbian dynastic family, founded by Karađorđe Petrović, the Veliki Vožd ("Grand Leader") of Serbia in the early 1800s during the First Serbian Uprising. The relatively short-lived dynasty had an ongoing blood feud[citation needed] with the Obrenović dynasty after Karađorđe's assassination in 1817, which was authorized by Miloš Obrenović.[citation needed] The two houses subsequently traded the throne for several generations. In 1903, the Serbian Parliament chose Karađorđe's grandson, Peter Karađorđević, then living in exile, for the throne of the Kingdom of Serbia. He was duly crowned as King Peter I, and shortly before the end of World War I, representatives of the three peoples proclaimed a Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes with Peter I as sovereign. In 1929, the Kingdom was renamed Yugoslavia, under Alexander I, the son of Peter I. In November 1945, the throne was lost when the League of Communists of Yugoslavia seized power, during the reign of Peter II.

Alexander I (Aleksandar I Karađorđević,Serbian Cyrillic: Александар I Карађорђевић, pronounced [aleksǎːndar př̩ʋiː karad͡ʑǒːrd͡ʑeʋit͡ɕ]), also known asAlexander the Unifier (Aleksandar Ujedinitelj, Serbian Cyrillic: Александар Ујединитељ [aleksǎːndar ujedǐniteʎ],16 December 1888 [O.S. 4 December] – 9 October 1934) served as a prince regent of the Kingdom of Serbia from 1914 and later became King of Yugoslavia from 1921 to 1934 (prior to 1929 the Kingdom was known as the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes). He was the last European monarch to be assassinated.

Then British Prime Minister Winston Churchill designated the room Yugoslavian territory for the day so that the baby prince could retain his right to the throne. In 1941, Germany invaded and occupied Yugoslavia forcing the country's King -- Peter II -- to move into exile in London. Later on, he was banned from returning home by the Communist government that followed World War II. Alexander, who was baptized by Queen Elizabeth and her father King George, grew up abroad and only visited his country for the first time in 1991. Ten years later, he returned to live in Belgrade after the country's government decided to give him and his family the right to use the city's royal palaces, which were taken from the royals when they were stripped of their possessions and citizenship by the communists.

Vojvodina has a population of almost 2 million (nearly 27% of Serbia's population excluding Kosovo).[3] Vojvodina is recognizable for its multi-ethnic and multi-cultural identity.[4][5] There are some 26 ethnic groups in the province,[6] and six languages are in official use by the provincial administration (serbian, hungarian, slovak, romanian, croatian, pannonian rusyn).  The term vojvodina in Serbian means a type of duchy – more specifically, a voivodeship. It derives from the word "vojvoda" (See: voivode) which stems from the Proto-Slavic language word "voevoda". Those words are etymologically connected with modern-day words "vojnik" (soldier) and "voditi" (to lead). Its original name (from 1848) was the "Serbian Voivodeship" which then became "Voivodeship of Serbia".

  • The three fields of the coat of arms of Vojvodina bear the coats of arms of 3 historic regions of Vojvodina, granted in the 18th century:Bačka. The coat of arms of Bačka was granted by Leopold I, Holy Roman Emperor (1657-1705) in 1699. It was later (1861) retained for the Batsch-Bodrog County. In blue field on a green grass stands Saint Paul wearing blue shirt and brown toga with golden nimbus holding in dexter a downpointed silver sword with golden hilt and in sinister a black book (Bible). The Bačka-Bodrog county was divided between Yugoslavia and Hungary after World War I. The northern part of it was later incorporated into Bács-Kiskun county of Hungary, that also uses the coat of arms with St. Paul in its dexter half.Banat. The golden lion rampant on red holding a sabre was the coat of arms of the Banat of Temeswar (Serbian: Tamiški Banat).Srem. The third coat of arms is that of Srem, granted in 1747 by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria. The modern Croatian county of Vukovar-Syrmia uses the same coat of arms. The three white stripes on blue, representing the three rivers of Srem: BosutSava and Danube. A deer rests close to a green poplar (topola) tree. The tree changed throughout history. In the original grant the tree was a cypress tree. The modern Croatian design preferred it to make it an oak tree, which is abundant in the region and is a kind of a national symbol. Similarly, the poplar is connected to Serbia (The royal family stems from a place named Topola).

political party
- The Socialist Party of Serbia (SerbianСоцијалистичка партија Србије, СПС / Socijalistička partija Srbije, SPS) is a political party in Serbia that identifies itself as a democratic socialist[4] and social democratic party. Throughout its existence, the party has utilised some nationalist rhetoric and themes, and has therefore been labelled a Serbian nationalist[9] party, although the SPS has never identified itself as such. The Socialist Party of Serbia was founded in 1990 as a merger between the League of Communists of Serbia, led by Slobodan Milošević, and the Socialist Alliance of the Working People of Serbia, led by Radmila Anđelković.Its membership from its foundation in 1990 to 1997 involved many elements of the social strata of Serbia, including: state administrators, including business management elites of state-owned enterprises; employees in the state-owned sector; less privileged groups farmers; and dependants (the unemployed and pensioners). From 1998 to 2000, its membership included: apparatchiks at administrative and judicial levels; the nouveau riche, whose business success was founded solely from their affiliation with the government; top army and police officials and a large majority of the police force. Following its foundation, the SPS demanded strict loyalty to its leader, Milošević, by top party officials and any sign of independence from such loyalty led to expulsion from the party. Anyone who went against policy as defined by the party leadership could face sanctions or expulsion.

He is a psychologist by profession.Tadić strongly advocates close ties with the European Union (EU) and Serbia's European integration.[1] During his presidency, the EU has abolished visas for Serbian citizens traveling to the Schengen Area countries, Serbian government signed the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) and received an EU candidate status, as well as, Serbia has completed obligations to the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY).[2] He became the first Serbian head of state or head of government to visit the Srebrenica Genocide Memorial and he launched an initiative for the Serbian parliament to adopt a resolution condemning the Srebrenica massacre.[3] The period of a coalition government led by the Tadić's Democratic Party was characterized by the challenges of the Kosovo declaration of independence and the global financial crisis, leading to low rates of economic growth.[2] He is widely regarded as a pro-Western leader,[4][5][6] who also favors balanced relations with Russia, the United States and the EU.

language
- script

  • Historically, Cyrillic was the script used to write the Serbian language, basically since it (Cyrillic) was first introduced. Such a situation persisted up until the end of WW1, when Latin was introduced due to political reasons that had nothing to do with linguistic needs, but I won’t go into that now. Ever since then, Latin has been gradually taking over up to the point we can see now - although Latin and Cyrillic are equal by law, the practice is very different, which becomes obvious if you go for a walk in any Serbian town or city. The names of stores, bars, pharmacies, and everything except government institutions (which need to use Cyrillic according to the law) are overwhelmingly in Latin. Daily newspapers are predominantly in Cyrillic, magazines are mostly in Latin, and books are printed both in Cyrillic and Latin, with the majority of translated titles being in Latin nowadays. (Some publishers print only in Latin). When it comes to your question, I can answer for myself and the people I know (if between 20 and 35 counts as “young”) - nobody I know writes in Cyrillic. All of my friends use Latin for texting, instant messaging, e-mails (if they write any), social media posts, etc. I myself prefer Cyrillic for various reasons (one of them being that it simply looks more appealing to me), but even I don’t use it in all cases, for instance, my cell phone does not even have Serbian Cyrillic, and in fact, if you send a message in Cyrillic to a young person in Serbia, chances are they will ask you “why Cyrillic, are you some sort of a nationalist?”, which is just crazy and endemic only to Serbia, I guess. (BTW, we are a highly polarised and schizophrenic nation, so digraphia fits very well in that paradigm). There could be a higher number of people that use Cyrillic for signing their name, but that is mostly it, since the situations in which an average person needs to write something by hand are basically non-existing nowadays. https://www.quora.com/Do-young-people-in-Serbia-use-Latin-or-Cyrillic

Jews
- Serbia is taking steps to return property seized from Jews in World War II and return it to its rightful owners. This is one of the first schemes of its kind in eastern Europe, while Belgrade has also agreed to pay $1.1 million per year to the Jewish community.  The law was presented in parliament by the Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic who said Serbia had a "moral obligation"towards Jews who "dedicated their lives and work to our Serbia,” according to AFP.  He added that Belgrade would also help to "contribute to a greater understanding of human rights, which is crucial for fighting and preventing racial and religious discrimination.”
The Serbian government has agreed to provide financial support to the country’s small Jewish community. Belgrade will pay an annual €950,000 ($1.1 million) for 25 years, which will be spent on education and supporting survivors of the Holocaust. https://www.rt.com/news/337799-serbia-property-jews-war/

Cyprus
Cyprus–Serbia relations are considered as strong, the two often being described as "brothers" due to a common history and culture andOrthodoxy as a common religion. Cyprus has been a supporter of Serbia in its efforts to join the European Union. Likewise, Serbia has been advocating a stable Cyprus after the Turkish invasion in 1974 and supporting a lasting solution to the Cyprus disputeToday, Serbia and Cyprus cooperate on foreign policy, finance, military matters and culture. Cyprus is one of the five European Union countries that does not recognise Kosovo's independence. During its EU presidency, Cyprus has not changed its policy towards Kosovo and continues to support Serbia on its European integration course. The Cypriot Minister of Commerce assessed that Serbia should be given more time to fulfil the European Council and Commission's conditions set for commencement of the accession negotiations. If those conditions are fulfilled, Cyprus will continue to support Serbia.
